How to Pack Your Electronics And Move Them Safely

Image
Hi friends! Finally, I’m in a new home! I relocated a few days back and apologise for not posting before. Although the move was hectic, I was able to do it quite conveniently due to the extensive research I did for months before the move. Hence, packing was a smooth ride for me. Today, I’m here to share tips on how to pack your electronics and move them safely. This task is important, as electrical goods can get damaged easily during the shifting process and we need to be extra careful with them. To know how you can avoid that, read more... https://www.betterremovalistsbrisbane.com.au/how-to-pack-your-electronics-and-move-them-safely/

Councillors urge fight as Brisbane Polo Grounds eyed for depot, housing

Image
A large-scale transport depot and future residential estate planned for the privately owned Brisbane Polo Grounds has been met with anger by past and present councillors, who have urged the public to "fight" the proposal. In June, a development application for the transport depot on 235 Murarrie Road at Tingalpa, in the city's east, was submitted to Brisbane City Council on behalf of Queensland waste magnate Balfour Irvine, who owns the property. https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/councillors-urge-fight-as-brisbane-polo-grounds-eyed-for-depot-housing-20190712-p526m9.html

Koala carnage in Brisbane's 'triangle of death'

Image
The number of koalas hospitalised at the RSPCA's Brisbane headquarters has almost doubled in a year to a record 690, with many hit by cars or attacked by dogs in a small area dubbed "the triangle of death". The zone — from the eastern Brisbane suburb of Cannon Hill, south to Mount Gravatt and east to Carindale — is ground zero for the city's rapidly dwindling koala population. The threatened species are cornered in islands of bushland surrounded by urban development and having frequent run ins with cars and dogs. Ninety-six koalas, or 15 per cent, of hospital intakes came from the area in the year to July, up from 54 the year before. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-14/koala-carnage-in-brisbane-triangle-of-death/11210518

Brisbane family loses everything after house fire lights up night

Image
Fire tore through a two-storey family home in the heart of Brisbane overnight and prompted a warning from the fire service to inner-city residents because of the smoke being thrown off into the air. Emergency services were called to the house in Carbeen Street, Bulimba, just after 7pm on Sunday and firefighters found "the front of the house well involved upon arrival". https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/brisbane-family-loses-everything-after-house-fire-lights-up-night-20190715-p5277a.html

The Flaming Lips extend Aussie tour with Brisbane show

Image
Back in 1999, fans were wondering  what the future held for The Flaming Lips . Having hit the alternative mainstream with  Transmissions From The Satellite Heart  in 1993, while 1995’s  Clouds Taste Metallic  was something of a failure amongst critics, but beloved in fan circles. Following 1997’s ambitious recording experiment  Zaireeka , few thought The Flaming Lips had enough motivation to keep their guitar-heavy compositions chugging along. Instead, the group decided to undertake a complete change in direction, crafting the exquisite  The Soft Bulletin . Released in May of 1999,  The Soft Bulletin  was a critical phenomenon, going on to be considered one of the finest records of the year and decade, and even  garnering a very rare 10/10 from  Pitchfork . https://tonedeaf.thebrag.com/taboola/flaming-lips-extend-aussie-tour-brisbane-show/
