Brisbane family loses everything after house fire lights up night

Fire tore through a two-storey family home in the heart of Brisbane overnight and prompted a warning from the fire service to inner-city residents because of the smoke being thrown off into the air.
Emergency services were called to the house in Carbeen Street, Bulimba, just after 7pm on Sunday and firefighters found "the front of the house well involved upon arrival".
