Indooroopilly State High School declared COVID-19 close contact exposure site by Queensland Health

 Queensland Health has deemed the Brisbane high school where a student tested positive for COVID-19 as a close contact exposure site for Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Anybody who was at Indooroopilly State High School between 8:00am and 10:00am on Tuesday or between 8:00am and 3:30pm on Wednesday is deemed to be a close contact of the student who tested positive late yesterday.

Buranda traffic backup frustrates commuters, cyclists as Brisbane Metro work starts

 Commuters, cyclists and pedestrians have found rare common ground as they battle delays and difficult transport routes caused by the temporary closure of a key southside thoroughfare in Brisbane. Work on upgrading and extending the Buranda busway station to allow for the new Brisbane Metro has begun but meant Brisbane City Council has closed the eastbound lanes on busy O'Keefe Street between Carl Street and Gillingham Street. A detour is in place via Carl Street, Cornwall Street, Logan Road and Montague Street and the westbound lanes on O'Keefe Street between Gillingham Street and Carl Street were also reduced to a single lane.
