Nundah's Danby Lane development to refresh suburban corner amid traffic, crime concerns

Nundah residents hope building plans for an old corner will invigorate the suburb, but some fear an influx of residents may make traffic congestion worse.

Gardner Vaughan Group (GVG) has plans for a 49-unit residential complex with 568 square metres of office space and 294m2 available to food and drink retailers on the corner of Buckland Rd and Danby Lane.

The developer has already completed the Union St apartments and Village Central buildings in Nundah and plans to occupy the Danby Lane office space.

GVG marketing and sales director Sam Gardner said Danby Lane would provide one- to four-bedroom apartments, recreational facilities, electric vehicle charging, solar energy provisions, and 135 car spaces built over five basement levels.
