Qld detects new case but no timeline set for end of lockdowns
Queensland has recorded one new local case of COVID-19, in what Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk described as “excellent news”.
But the Premier would not confirm on Tuesday whether lockdowns would be phased out once 80 per cent of the population was fully vaccinated.
The case revealed on Tuesday morning was part of the Indooroopilly Delta cluster and was detected in home quarantine.
“We’re absolutely, really happy with that result,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
There was also a case recorded in hotel quarantine overnight.
