Lack of Brisbane COVID-19 quarantine beds forces interstate arrivals into isolation on Sunshine Coast

 Brisbane's hotel quarantine system is under increasing pressure to meet surging demand, with a shortage of beds forcing some domestic travellers to undergo hotel quarantine on the Sunshine Coast instead.

Greg Hefferan said when he arrived in Brisbane last night passengers were told there was not enough room for them all in the city's hotel quarantine facilities, so about a dozen passengers from the flight had to head north to Caloundra.
