Voice of Real Australia: Running out of clothes on the road

 They say clothes maketh the man (or woman) and I'm here to say how much I now appreciate active wear.


I'm between homes at the moment and living largely out of a suitcase anyway as I travel throughout western Queensland to report on the spring bull sales, so I ended up with no leggings or sweatshirt packed for an early morning run last week.


No matter, I thought, I'll just run in yesterday's jeans and T-shirt.

Buranda traffic backup frustrates commuters, cyclists as Brisbane Metro work starts

 Commuters, cyclists and pedestrians have found rare common ground as they battle delays and difficult transport routes caused by the temporary closure of a key southside thoroughfare in Brisbane. Work on upgrading and extending the Buranda busway station to allow for the new Brisbane Metro has begun but meant Brisbane City Council has closed the eastbound lanes on busy O'Keefe Street between Carl Street and Gillingham Street. A detour is in place via Carl Street, Cornwall Street, Logan Road and Montague Street and the westbound lanes on O'Keefe Street between Gillingham Street and Carl Street were also reduced to a single lane.
