Brisbane City Council has come under fire for spending nearly $80,000 of ratepayers’ money on a flyer advertising the proposed zip-line for Mt Coot-tha. Residents have branded the glossy four-page brochures delivered to more than half a million homes across Brisbane as “stupid” and a “waste of money”. New flood risk maps have been released by Brisbane City Council, removing 26,000 properties from flood risk areas and downgrading a further 25,000 properties.
