Brisbane council flyer 'waste of taxpayer money'

Brisbane City Council has come under fire for spending nearly $80,000 of ratepayers’ money on a flyer advertising the proposed zip-line for Mt Coot-tha. Residents have branded the glossy four-page brochures delivered to more than half a million homes across Brisbane as “stupid” and a “waste of money”. Thousands of homes removed or downgraded on Brisbane flood maps

New flood risk maps have been released by Brisbane City Council, removing 26,000 properties from flood risk areas and downgrading a further 25,000 properties.
