Curtin University: One dead after roof collapses in Australia

 One man has died and two others have been injured after a building under construction collapsed at a university in Western Australia.


Emergency crews were called to Perth's Curtin University shortly before 13:00 local time (05:00 GMT) on Tuesday.


Aerial footage taken by local media showed a smashed glass roof and a large pile of rubble on the ground.


A 23-year-old man died immediately after falling more than 20 metres, authorities said.

Australia is spending less on diplomacy than ever before – and its influence is suffering as a result

Ten years ago, the Lowy Institute published a report on the state of Australia’s diplomatic capacity that painted a “sobering picture” of overstretched foreign missions and declining resources.
